Effective Prot/Heal/Divine monk?
I'm thinking about getting Shield Of Regeneration, since it just looks awsome, and also adding some healing spells for well healing. So anyone have a good effective build both pvp and pve that has Shield of Regen and all three prot/heal/ and divine?

Shield of regen is good, but there are much stronger and more active elites to use. It's a very good healing breeze, but many of the flaws of healing breeze still apply to SoR.

1. Zealot's Benediction
2. Gift of Health
3. Protective Spirit
4. Shield of Absorbtion
5. Glyph of Lesser Energy
6. Dismiss Condition
7. Deny Hexes
8. Divine Spirit
Also,
1. Light of Deliverance
2. Signet of Rejuvination
3. Prot Spirit
4. Shield of Absorbtion
5. Words of Comfort / Dismiss Condition
6. Cure Hex
7. Reversal of Fortune / Divine Spirit / Dwaynas Kiss
8. Glyph of Lesser Energy
And finally,
1. Blessed Light
2. Reversal of Fortune
3. Gift of Health
4. Prot Spirit
5. Shield of Absorbtion (Notice the trend yet?)
6. Mend Condition / Dismiss Condition
7. Deny Hexes
8. Glyph of Lesser Energy
There's three from the top of my head. I tried to fit them somewhere inbetween PvE and PvP for ya. SoR builds are generally entirely prot:
1. Shield of Regeneration
2. Shield of Absorbtion
3. Shielding Hands
4. Dismiss Condition
5. Glyph of Lesser Energy
6. Deny Hexes
7. (Optional) Divine Spirit (My Hero uses this)
8. (Optional) Divine Intervention (My Hero uses this)
Granted, you could spec into heal somewhere in there, but it's kinda useless. Just rely on the other monk for that.
As far as attributes go, I almost always run a 11/10/10 setup, where 11 is your primary "heal", and 10 is your secondary and Divine. the eleven also gets the +1 head piece with a major rune.
I know you asked for a SoR build that uses the three attributes, but I would highly suggest against that. I tried to add some different ideas instead for ya.

I honestly dont get this love affair that the PvE community has with SoA.

because SoA has ridiculous potential, instead of getting bucketloads of 20s and 30s or whatever the normal attacks are landing for, placed on the right target they will be taking 0s. then all you have to worry about is larger damage packets, such as spells, which are then reduced some and easily countered if needed.
guardian doesn't even come close, as 50% of the damage will still get through, and no protection vs spells

Monsters auto-attack for more than players. And you can have a lot more than 4/8/12 monsters hitting a single player at once.
I do get the love affair that PvP has with prot. What I don't get is why they believe it naturally extends lock-stock-and-barrel to PvE, particularly the exact same form of prot that works in PvP. (For example: Observe the attitudes in this thread.)

Is there anything wrong with SoA, regardless of whether it's PvE or PvP?

the only real option for a heal/prot/divine is the standard LoD bar...
RoF
Dwayna's Kiss
LoD
Guardian
SoA
Dismiss Conditions
Divine Healing
Deny Hexes

@Kaida the Heartless. What is with putting in Glyph of Lesser Energy in all those bars what about some survivor skills. The only reason to use GoLE is if you have skill over 10e like at 15.

here's the hybrid monk template:
RoF
GoH
prot spirit/spirit bond
dismiss condition
hex removal(veil, remove hex, etc)
optional
optional
optional
this is why the hybrid monk is such a strong build: it will even run reasonably well if you only use 5 skills, allowing you to bring whatever utility skills you want.

BL
RoF
dismiss
dwaynas
guardian
option
option
option
this is pve of course.......

@Age: Reread the skill description. It lowers two instances of 10 energy spells, i.e. you get two 10 energy spells for 5 energy combined. Fortunately, this covers the energy cost of skills like prot spirit, spirit bond, and zealous benediction. Glyph of Lesser Energy is still a massively broken skill and I will continue to gain it's approximate 2 pips of energy regen value.
@Random: Also, Shield of Absorbtion, depending on the number of attackers, can mitigate damage nearly equal to that of prot spirit, and it's only 5 energy. When you are fighting stupid mob AI, there is no reason not to bring this spell. I usually have at least 2 copies of the skill in nearly all of my hero builds.
@Happy Feet: Moriz gave the general PvP Monk template. You gave a Blessed Light template with unachievable attribute points. :P

[wiki]Blessed Light[/wiki] is the type of elite on a 3rd monk in an 8 man team. It isn't a big heal, and it isn't spammable, so it won't be the pick of the litter. However, it's utility is unquestionable.
The basic template of a hybrid monk has already been posted a couple times now, so let's analyze it better.
[wiki]Reversal of Fortune[/wiki][wiki]Dismiss Condition[/wiki][wiki]Reverse Hex[/wiki][wiki]Dwayna's Kiss[/wiki][wiki]Protective Spirit[/wiki]
These are the basic building blocks of a hybrid monk build. 5 of the 8 skills of a full build are here. Elites in this template are open and optional. The question is what's left to complete it? Any combination of skills can be used, but active energy management is key to the overall effectiveness of the hybrid build.
[wiki]Signet of Rejuvenation[/wiki][wiki]Signet of Devotion[/wiki][wiki]Glyph of Lesser Energy[/wiki] are a few of the more popular means of energy management. Even a mixture of e-managements, the monk can be employ to great effect for the betterment of overall performance, for example, either signet and the glyph can be used as passive(Glyph) or active(Signet) energy management. Then, an Elite must be chosen. Still, the last skill is optional. Many variations can be applied to great effect.

Reverse Hex is pretty trash (expensive and with a weak effect... no ty), and GoH > Kiss unless you're already running other Healing Prayers... I'd stick with Moriz's template, usually Veil or Remove as the hex removal.

The basics are not the actual spells you "must" use, but the basics of a build. [wiki]Gift of Health[/wiki] is nice if you're not spamming any healing prayers spells, since once you use it the spamming of HP spells stops briefly, though some will make that sacrifice.
[wiki]Remove Hex[/wiki] is better than reverse? Really? I don't really see how except it is unlinked. It take less time to cast than displayed, but is still slower than reverse with the same recharge, plus reverse is like 1 time [wiki]shielding hands[/wiki] once the hex is removed. That also works well in a build with kiss, but once again the template isn't etched in stone, it's just showing the basics of the template. [wiki]Holy Veil[/wiki] is a great skill for PvP, yet I don't think it's the best for PvE. Just my opinion.
Preference will always come into play for individual players and what they think "works best", yet the template model will hardly change.

since you want to use Shield of Regen.. try this, its what i use usualy
Prot 12, divine 9 heal 9 add runes as you see fit, head peice should be +1 prot.
Reversal of Fortune
Gift of health
dismiss condition
Shield of absorbtion or guardian
Prot Spirit
Glyph of lesser energy
Shield of regeneration {E}
REZ of choice OR hex removal of choice
tho with the newest ballence changes, SoR is not very worth while anymore, soo i'll be rebuilding my bar soon. i'm going to be experimenting with ZB and RC and possible LoD.. tho i hate running what everyone else runs.. oh well.
